The Great Wall and Jingshan Park

On day 2 of our China visit, we went to the Great Wall. A small bus picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the Mutianyu gate. From there we walked up a steep stair to the Great Wall. On the wall we walked for about one hour and took a lot of pictures.

The way down we didn’t walk but we took the slideway. As there were a lot of people it wasn’t too fast,  but still it was fun and a great way to go down!

Back in our hotel we went to a park just across the street. The Jingshan Park consists of five hills and on top of each hill there is a pavilion. It dates back to the Jin dinasty where it was used as an imperial garden.

The greatest pavilion is called the  Wanchun Pavilion (Eternal Spring) and has a Buddha inside.  From there we had a wonderful view over Bejing and the Forbidden City.
