Today’s the day

So today is THE day. Today is the day we leave. As I am only back from the boy scouts for less than 24 hours, I don’t not exactly how much I slept, but I know I haven’t slept quite enough. But there is enough time to sleep on the plane anyway.

The weather for Zurich.
The weather for Zurich.

So now I have to finish all my packing, as some of my clothes were still wet yesterday. I’m also a bit sceptical if I have packed the right clothes, because while the summer in Switzerland has been, less-than-perfect. Today the maximum temperature is 22° Celsius, which barely is short-trousers-weather.

The weather in Bejing.
The weather in Beijing.

However in China, or specifically Beijing the weather is rather warm, to say the least. So I have more or less only packed short trousers and t-shirts, no long sleeves and long trousers. I hope that this is the right decision.

In China there are high temperatures and high levels of humidity. I hope, that because of my training in Australia it won’t affect me much, though I’m pretty sure that will be not true at all, because it is simply too much of a difference. It will be a bit of a shock, but I’m sure that we’ll manage somehow, but we will look like the biggest tourists ever, but that’s kind of the point of going to another country.

All in all I’m really looking forward to our family holidays.
